  • In addition to courses in the principal periods of English, American, and global Anglophone literature, majors in English can also take courses in literary criticism, film, public speaking, rhetoric, business writing, journalism, and creative writing. Most classes are small and conducted in a seminar format to encourage the exchange of ideas between students and faculty members.
