Interim Calendar 2019

Interim begins on Thursday, January 3, 2019 and ends on Thursday, January 31st, 2019.

 

Monday, March 5, 2018 Independent Student Proposals for Summer Interim 2018 due to Dr. AK Anderson by 5pm.
Monday, March 5, 2018 Faculty proposals for Interim 2019 due. 
Monday, April 9, 2018 Students expecting to propose 2019 independent projects are urged to begin discussing them with prospective faculty sponsors.

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Interim 2019 Travel/Study Fair: 10:50AM-12PM in Main Building. Stop by the front steps of Main Building for information and to attend important information sessions about the 2019 Interim Travel/Study projects.
Two information sessions will be offered at 11am and 11:30am. The Interim Fair is for information only - interested participants will need to apply online
Sunday, April 29, 2018      Interim Travel Grant application deadline (first round): Students wishing to apply for a Wofford Travel Grant for Interim 2019 should submit a travel grant application online. Financial need and academic merit are the principle considerations in awarding these grants. To be considered for a merit-only grant, students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher. Awards typically range from $500-$1,500. Students who applied for an Interim Travel Grant will be notified of the status of their application before the Interim Travel/Study deadline.
Thursday, May 3, 2018 Students wishing to commit to one Interim Travel/Study project should submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit (paid online) and complete Interim 2019 Travel/Study Project Application no later than midnight. Students may only submit one application/deposit. Interim Travel/Study sponsors will begin reviewing applicants the following morning. 
Monday, May 7 - Thursday, September 20, 2018 Interim travel/study applications accepted on a rolling admissions basis as space allows in the travel/study project. 
Wednesday, August 1, 2018 Faculty sponsoring Interim Travel/Study projects should submit final anticipated cost to the Office of International Programs. In addition, all contracts with outside organizations should be submitted to the Business Office by this date.

Students intending to propose independent research projects for Interim 2019 must secure a faculty sponsor by today.

Tuesday, September 25, 2018 Students must submit their independent study project proposals or international Community of Service project proposals online by 11:59pm. This deadline is firm - no late proposals will be accepted.  
Monday, October 1, 2018      All applications for the Learning Work internship interim are due by 11:59PM.  Late applications will be accepted from October 2nd-October 15th but are not guaranteed a space in the Interim.  No proposals will be accepted or considered after Monday, October 15th.  Any questions about the application process should be directed to the Interim Coordinator, Dr. AK Anderson. 
Friday, October 5, 2018 Students notified of approval or disapproval of their independent study or international Community of Service project proposals.
Wednesday, October 10, 2018 Business Office bills all travel/study project fees to students.
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 Interim 2019 Travel/Study Sponsor Pre-Departure Orientation Workshop (11am - 12:30pm) (sponsors required to attend one of 2 being offered)
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 On-campus Interim project registration on myWofford for seniors for all projects (7:30AM - midnight).
Wednesday, October 17 - Friday, October 19, 2018 On-campus Interim project registration on myWofford for all students (7:30AM - midnight).
Wednesday, October 31, 2018 Business Office bills all on-campus Interim project fees to students.
Tuesday, November 13, 2018 Interim Travel/Study student pre-departure orientation (encouraged for all students who are participating in an Interim travel/study program); 11am - noon in Leonard Auditorium. 
Thursday, November 15, 2018      Interim Travel/Study project fee payment deadline. 
Thursday, November 29, 2018 Interim Travel/Study Sponsor Pre-Departure Information Session (11am - 12:30pm) (sponsors required to attend one of 2 being offered)
Friday, November 30, 2018 Interim on-campus project fee payment deadline.
Tuesday, December 4 - Friday, December 7, 2018 Final add/drop period for on-campus Interim 2019 projects for all students through myWofford.
Tuesday, December 4, 2018 First Interim 2019 class from 11 am - noon. If the professor chooses to hold this session, it is mandatory for all enrolled students. 
Friday, December 7, 2018 Last day to add/drop on-campus Interim 2019 projects through myWofford. A full refund for all project fees for on-campus Interim projects will be granted for schedule changes made through this date. All registration changes made after this date must be processed in person through the Registrar's Office. For all changes made after this date, students will incur charges for both the dropped and added project, when applicable. 
Thursday, January 3, 2019 First day of Interim class.
Friday, January 4, 2019 Last day to add/drop an Interim 2019 class through the Registrar's Office. 
Monday, January 21, 2019 Martin Luther King Day
Thursday, January 31, 2019 Last day of Interim class.
Tuesday, February 5, 2019 Interim 2019 Travel/Study Sponsor Debriefing Meeting: 11:30am - 12:30pm in the Gray-Jones Room.
Monday, February 11, 2019 Final Interim grades for all students are due at 5:30PM to the Registrar's Office.
