The Wofford College Department of Art and Art History is presenting "My People: The 2018 Senior Capstone Exhibition" featuring the works of seven senior studio art minors. The exhibit is up through May 20 in the Richardson Family Art Gallery of the Rosalind Sallenger Richardson Center for the Arts. The college will celebrate the artists with an opening reception from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 17. Student-artists will present their artist talks at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

The works included in "My People" explore the ordinary and extraordinary experiences of life from varying perspectives and through individual conceptual approaches in a variety of media. This collection references imaginings and observations that derive from the most common human attribute - individuality.

Presenting are Tyler Cable, an environmental studies major from Henrico, Va.; Bethany Hermelin, a humanities major from Irmo, S.C.; Mary Margaret Holden, an English major from Crozet, Va., Wythe Hunnicut, an art history major from Augusta, Ga., Catherine Ann Ivey, a psychology major from Columbia, S.C.; Parks Schoen, an art history major from Greenville, S.C.; and Julia Rose Tyler, a business economics major from Fletcher, N.C.
