Global Ambassadors

Wofford Global Ambassadors are Wofford students who have been trained to serve as friendly resources for students considering studying off-campus. Global Ambassadors love to answer questions about their experiences studying off-campus/abroad, so feel free to contact them.

Goals of the Global Ambassador Program

Access & Promotion

Global Ambassadors work alongside the Office of International Programs [OIP] to increase participation in off-campus study programs by assisting with various office programs and events, including the Interim Travel/Study Fair, the Mungo Exchange Block Party (which hosts the OIP's Study Abroad Fair), and other promotional/outreach events.

Peer-Advising

Global Ambassadors advise students interested in off-campus study about program selection, in addition to offering invaluable insights into the day-to-day off-campus/abroad experience from a student perspective.

Self-Reflection

Global Ambassadors reflect and make meaning of their off-campus/abroad experiences through various meetings and activities with other Ambassadors and OIP staff. Global Ambassadors also learn how to further articulate their off-campus experiences to employers or graduate school interviewers through professional development opportunities (such as regional conference attendance).
