1. Participants intending to withdraw from the program must submit a notice of their withdrawal via email to the Office of International Programs (OIP) at internationalprograms@wofford.edu. The effective date of the withdrawal will be based on the OIP’s acknowledged receipt of the email. The OIP is open 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Monday through Friday, except for observed holidays.
2. The program start date is defined as the first day of the program as specified in the official program materials/webpage.3. In cases where the withdrawal date falls on a weekend or holiday, the next business day will be used to determine the applicable refund amount.4. Failure to meet program-specific payment deadlines may result in administrative withdrawal from the program, and individuals will be liable for program fees according to their program-specific refund schedule, as outlined above. Participants should refer to their program’s webpage and the Business Office’s Billing & Key Payment dates for specific information on program fees and payment deadlines.5. Due to the uncertainties of travel, Wofford College strongly recommends that participants purchase travel/trip insurance to safeguard against financial losses resulting from travel disruptions. Travel/trip insurance is not included in the published program fees. Note that for international programs, basic international health insurance is included in the program fees, but this does not cover trip cancellation or interruption.6. Participants are responsible for sharing all relevant information about their participation in the program, including cost and billing details, program policies, and this withdrawal policy, with any financially responsible party.7. Participants must review and understand the specific details, requirements, and policies for their chosen program as outlined on the program’s official webpage. This includes, but is not limited to, exact refund schedules, payment deadlines, and any program-specific requirements or policies.8. Wofford College reserves the right to cancel or modify any program if, solely in their best judgment, College officials conclude that unforeseen and/or immediate circumstances pose a risk to students, program leaders, or the integrity of the program. In such cases, the College will refund any monies not already disbursed or otherwise required to be paid.
