Students in Wofford’s Chinese program immerse themselves in one of the world’s oldest languages while also studying the global giant’s traditions, current events and pop culture. Wofford’s Chinese language and culture program recognizes the increasing importance of China in international affairs as well as the employment advantages for students who know Chinese.
Recently, first- and second-year Chinese language courses were reduced from 5 credit hours to 4 credit hours to make the courses more accessible and more manageable for students pursuing a double major in Chinese and another discipline. Additionally, offering these courses for 4 credits aligns with our benchmark institutions.
