Computational Science is an exciting, interdisciplinary field that is at the intersection of the sciences, computer science, and mathematics. Computational Science combines mathematical modeling, simulation, visualization, programming and high-preformance computing with scientific disciplines.
Students who complete an eligible major can obtain an Emphasis in Computational Science with a few additional courses and completing a summer internship or research project involving scientific computing. Eligible majors include; Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science (with 2 lab-science courses at the 200-level or above).
