SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian Jon Meacham will present a lecture at Wofford College at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, April 23) in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Meacham, whose biography of President George H.W. Bush debuted at #1 on The New York Times bestsellers list, provided a eulogy for the late president. Meacham’s new book, “The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels,” examines today’s American politics and life by looking back at critical times in U.S. history when hope overcame division and fear.
The book will be available for purchase at the event.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. (Note time change.)
