Steven Martin ’93 has gifted the college $15,000 to support Wofford’s Terrier Care Line for a year, providing 24/7 access to support for all members of the Wofford campus community.
“This just seemed like a logical fit,” says Martin, president and CEO of Constellation Quality Health based in Raleigh, N.C. “Wofford means so much to me, and I am humbled to be part of this.”
Martin earned a bachelor’s in biology from Wofford and a master’s in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Before his current leadership of Constellation Quality Health, he served as vice president of the quality division for Atrium Health in Charlotte, N.C., vice president for business development at Courtemanche and Associates, field surveyor with The Joint Commission, and assistant vice president of the quality division of Carolinas HealthCare System.
“I couldn’t be more grateful,” says Perry Henson ’96, director of counseling and accessibility services. “This generous gift is a tremendous help to our department. It ensures that anyone associated with Wofford has access to this 24/7 resource. It also frees up resources for additional programs that may benefit our community.”
Launched in February 2020 and operated by Protocall, the Terrier Care Line provides confidential, free crisis counseling services to Wofford faculty, staff, students and their families.
“We have put a lot of work into it this,” Henson says. “We’re going to make sure that anyone having a difficult time gets the resources they need.”
