Summary note: The Marion District of the South Carolina Annual Conference consists of churches and circuits in Marion, Marlboro, Dillon, Horry, and Georgetown counties. The records consist largely of quarterly conference and charge conference reports from the churches in the district. Other district-level items sometimes appear in the records. Correspondence between ministers and church leaders and the district superintendent often appear in the church records. A charge conference or quarterly conference report is the record of a church’s business meeting, and often contains membership transactions, budget figures, trustee and property records, and other business.
