Most Wofford College computers are on a four-year replacement cycle.
Wofford College purchases a new computer for one of the following reasons:
Each faculty or staff member may have a maximum of one computer on a budgeted replacement cycle. Faculty and staff with a computer on a replacement cycle that is older than the replacement cycle may request a new computer by contacting the IT Help Center.
Old computers that have been replaced must be returned to Information Technology Services. ITS staff will determine if an old computer should be recycled, or if it can be repurposed beyond its replacement cycle (i.e., a “re-deploy”.) Re-deployed computers are not eligible for replacement on a computer replacement cycle. If you would like to request a re-deploy computer for use at the College, please contact the IT Help Center.
The IT Help Center is staffed Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., by appointment only. After 5 p.m., please email the IT Help Center at help@wofford.edu or call 864-597-4357 and leave a message. Please be as detailed as possible to describe your issue and leave a contact number. Thank you!
