Math 120: Appreciation of Mathematics
A general education course for students who do not plan to pursue a major or career that requires a specific set of math skills. In this course students learn about the various aspects that define mathematics, support the understanding of what math is, and the role it has played in the development of Western Culture.
Math 140: Introductory Statistics
An introduction to statistical thinking and understanding data. This course is required for those majoring in Accounting, Business Economics (one of three options), Economics (one of three options), Environmental Studies, and Finance. It is also strongly recommended for those planning to major Biology or Psychology.
Math 170: Functions Modeling Change**
Focusing on how functions can be used to model the real world, the course covers many of the same topics as a typical precalculus course. It is a great course for students who plan to take Math 181, Calculus I, and would benefit from additional preparation.
Math 181: Calculus I**
The first course in the Calculus sequence, it is required for students who plan to major in Business Economics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or Physics.
