Wofford’s music program provides an array of performance opportunities for both singers and instrumentalists. Our ensembles are open to all students, regardless of the student’s program of study.
Wofford Singers is an auditioned mixed-voice choral ensemble that performs a variety of repertoire from the Renaissance to the modern era. Annual performances include a concert for Family Weekend, Candlelight Carols, and a spring concert, in addition to performances for campus events throughout the year. Auditions are held at the beginning of the fall semester and by appointment in the spring. Students will be contacted after registering for the class to schedule an audition time.

One of the oldest student organizations on campus–dating back to the early 1900s–Men’s Glee Club performs choral literature for tenor-bass voices from the Renaissance to the contemporary period. Requirements include a family weekend concert, a Christmas concert, and a spring concert. No audition required.

Established in 1989, Women’s Choir provides singers with the opportunity to improve their individual and ensemble singing skills through the performance of quality choral literature for treble voices. Wofford Choral Society is the largest ensemble at Wofford College and is open to Wofford students, as well as faculty, staff, and Spartanburg community members. This choir performs choral/orchestral masterworks during the spring semester of odd-numbered years. No audition required. Contact Dr. Harp if you are interested in joining.

Wofford College Athletic Band (commonly known as Pep Band) is an extra-curricular ensemble that supports the athletic department by performing at men’s and women’s home basketball games.
