Refund policy
No tuition charge will be made for a course or courses officially dropped in the Registrar’s Office on or before Tuesday, June 4, in the first term and Tuesday, July 9, in the second term. No tuition refund will be made for a course or courses dropped after those dates.
Room and board
If a student withdraws completely from either summer term within the first two weeks of the term, charges for that term’s room and board will be prorated by the Business Office according to length of the residence. After the first two weeks of the term, there will be no refund on room and board.
Drop/Add
June 4 and July 9 are the last days to add/drop a course in the first and second summer terms, respectively. No exceptions will be made to this policy. These dates are also the last dates by which to drop a course with no financial penalty or transcript notation. Thereafter, a grade of W will be assigned. The course and grade will be noted on the student’s transcript. Students wishing to withdraw from a course after the add/drop deadline have until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 21 (first term) and Friday, July 26 (second term) to drop the course with the W grade. Courses dropped after these dates will automatically receive the grade of F.
Repeated courses
Wofford students repeating courses, whether previously failed or passed, must request a repeat override from the Registrar’s Office. Requests may be made by emailing registrar@wofford.edu with your name, ID number and the subject and number of the course to be repeated.
Seniors
Students expecting to complete all degree requirements during either summer session, who have not applied to graduate, must visit the Registrar's Office prior to the end of the add/drop period in order to do so.
Cancellation of courses
The college reserves the right to cancel any course when the enrollment is insufficient.
