FALL 2024 EVENTS:
Time Capsule - Letter to My Future Self
Where: Seal of Old Main
When: Tuesday, October 8, 11am-1pm
What: The Writing Center is starting a new tradition! Meet us on the seal and write a letter to yourself about how your time at Wofford is starting this year. We will return it to you when you graduate. We invite first-year students to capture the start of their journeys at Wofford. Since this is a new tradition, we invite upperclassmen to write letters, too!
All Hallows Scavenger Hunt
Where: Start your journey at the Writing Center.
When: Tuesday, October 29, 7pm-10pm
What: Come to the Writing Center in the Sandor Teszler Library to begin your quest. Unlock our riddle master's devious conundrums, search the campus for clues, collect treats along the way, and be the first to complete the puzzles for your chance to win a crisp fifty dollar bill.
Write-In
Where: The Acorn Café, Milliken
When: Thursday, December 5th, 7pm-10pm
What: Join us for our semesterly pre-finals write-in! Come to the Acorn, have a free bev on us, and get words on the page for your final writing projects with the camaraderie of friends and friendly Writing Center consultants standing by to chat as-needed.

ONGOING PROJECTS:
- Our lead student researcher, Josie Thillet, is currently investigating how our staff can borrow methods from Creative Writing Pedagogy to encourage students to approach their work with more confidence and playfulness.
- We are working on developing new ways of communicating with students digitally through our website, social media and video content.
- In spring 2024, we piloted a new Writing Fellows program. The pilot imagines a program where individual upper-level courses can be paired with one of our staff members who will be devoted to supporting student writing with more in-depth knowledge of the content and assignments.
