We are excited for your arrival in August! Check-in for new students will be on Saturday, Aug. 24 for residential students from 8-11 a.m. and commuter students can check-in from 2-2:45 p.m. First-Year Orientation will take place August 24-27. There is a great deal of thought and intention in our planning to ensure you have impactful opportunities and are equipped with the resources to begin your journey at Wofford. You will connect with all members of your student success team, meet new friends and get prepared for your Wofford journey. It is very important that you attend all events outlined on the First-Year Orientation student schedule.
When you arrive on campus, your first stop will be at the Mungo Student Center. You will receive instructions on next steps and be able to ask any questions you may have relating to financial aid, medical services, residence life and orientation.
For those living on campus, you will then be able to move your belongings into your residence hall room. The orientation staff and other members of the Wofford community will be at each first-year residence hall to assist you in unloading your vehicle. You should not send any vehicles to your residence hall before completing check-in. At check-in, you will receive unloading passes and a map that guides you to your designated unloading zone for your specific residence hall room. At your unloading zone, please make sure that at least one individual stays with each car at all times. We move vehicles through the unloading zones quickly and will need you to move your vehicle through the unloading zone to park and return to the room to set up. Failure to check-in first will mean that you will be directed to exit the unloading zone lines and park until you have your unloading pass.
The best way to ensure your personal belongings make it to your new home is to label all boxes, crates, furniture and possessions with your name, residence hall name and room number directly on the item or via painter’s tape.
