Beginning with students studying abroad in the fall of 2025, there will be no location-specific difference in fees. Students will no longer pay a separate administrative fee to Wofford College, and financial aid — including need and merit-based aid — will continue to apply toward semester study abroad.
To further its commitment to eliminating financial barriers to global learning, the college will provide a $3,000 allowance to each student studying abroad for a full semester to assist with out-of-pocket expenses that can accompany these experiences. These expenses may include airfare, passport or visa fees, required immunizations, meals (often not included), textbooks, supplemental course fees, independent travel and other daily living expenses.
Study abroad students retain an active status at Wofford, earn credit toward their degree and continue to receive services from the college, whether on Wofford-sponsored programs or with approved partners.
